I love Placebo and I have been listening to them for many years, I really love this album as it takes you through this chapter of thier musical life, I feel it is darker than thier other albums, especially the new album 'Battle for the Sun' and I feel it perfectly represents thier mindset during that time as they were in a dark place, but since then they have come out of the darkness and moved

Just bought this album, it’s the first album I heard from Placebo and is still my favourite even after I listened to all the others so I had to get this one on vinyl. Plus, my favorite song from the band is there at the end of side A (because I want you).

Placebo needed this album to do well to stay in with a chance of sticking around. "Meds" is a spectacular opener, a poetic track backed by a fast-paced acoustic guitar. Brian sings beautifully "I was confused by the powers that be/Forgetting names and faces/Passers by were looking at me/As if they could erase it", and is sounds perfect against the unusual style of the glam band.
